Terms & Conditions

The terms below cover print and apparel work carried out by Pulukamu XC Print Services in Christchurch. They are placeholder terms provided with this website and should be reviewed before the site goes live.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to every quote, order and job carried out by Pulukamu XC Print Services ("we", "us", "our") for a customer ("you"). By accepting a quote or placing an order you agree to them. If anything here doesn't match how you'd like to work, talk to us before the job starts and we'll put it in writing.

2. Quotes and pricing

  • Quotes set out the set-up cost, the price per garment or item, and the expected turnaround.
  • Quotes are based on the quantity, garment and artwork supplied at the time. If any of those change, the price may change.
  • Unless stated otherwise, a quote is valid for 30 days from the date it's issued.
  • Prices are in New Zealand dollars. Any GST position is as stated on the quote or invoice.

3. Artwork and proofs

  • You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any logo, image, name or design you send us for printing.
  • We'll prepare a proof showing the artwork sized and positioned on the item. Nothing goes on the press until you approve it.
  • Once a proof is approved, spelling, layout and colour choices shown in that proof are treated as accepted.
  • Artwork redraw or set-up work may be charged separately where the supplied file isn't print-ready.

4. Colour

Screens, monitors and phone displays all show colour differently, and ink behaves differently across fabric types and colours. We match as closely as the process allows, but small variation between a screen preview and the printed item is normal and isn't treated as a fault.

5. Quantities, garments and stock

  • Garment availability, sizing and colour ranges depend on supplier stock at the time of ordering.
  • Where a garment is unavailable we'll offer the closest equivalent before proceeding.
  • A small allowance for spoilage on larger runs is standard in the trade; where this applies we'll say so in the quote.

6. Turnaround and delivery

Turnaround times are estimates given in good faith and start once artwork is approved and any deposit is paid. Delays caused by supplier stock, courier services or late artwork approval may move the ready-by date. If you have a hard deadline, tell us up front so we can confirm it's achievable before you commit.

7. Payment

  • A deposit may be required before an order is placed, particularly on larger runs or custom-ordered garments.
  • The balance is due on or before collection or delivery, unless account terms have been agreed in writing.
  • Goods remain our property until payment is made in full.

8. Changes and cancellation

Changes requested after artwork approval may incur additional set-up costs. Because printed items are made to your specification, orders cancelled after production has started may be charged for work already completed, including garments ordered in and transfers already printed.

9. Faults and returns

Please check your order on collection or delivery and let us know within seven days if there's a problem with the print or the goods. Where an item is faulty or doesn't match the approved proof, we'll reprint or refund that item. Custom-printed goods can't be returned for change of mind, incorrect sizes ordered, or errors present in an approved proof. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply.

10. Liability

Our liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to reprinting the affected items or refunding the amount paid for them. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or loss arising from a missed event date.

11. Your artwork and files

We keep artwork files on record so repeat orders match earlier runs. Your artwork remains yours. We may show finished work as examples of our printing unless you ask us not to.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
